We spent the weekend in Zaporishia, we enjoyed our time with more of the same from the earlier posts. One thing that I did not mention is the horrible pollution from the steel mills. There is no regulation on pollution and the fumes from the smelting makes it hurt to breath. The morning is the worst.
Today the Steens come to Zap for their final court appointment, after which we are scheduled to go and see the chief of Zap and then to go see the chief of the Region the other siblings are from.
Victor made it back to Zap last night ans told us that the process of getting the kids to sign off was difficult not because they did not want to but because the guardians gave him a hard time and threatened to have him arrested. So he had to get the inspector and director of the orphanage involved.
He told us that when he was at the camp he saw Iliah and Iliah asked where we were by saying where is my Mama and Papa. How Cute! When we left Berdyansk we told Iliah we would see him in a few days but that was before we had t stay in Zap for additional time. Victor told him his Mama and Papa would be here soon. we can't wait to see him again.
As it stands right now it will be Tues or Wed depending on how the next two days go. The next two days really determine how long this process will be.
